Two-Tone Omega’s
Well I’ve never been a fan of the two-tone Omega style until I saw this!
jmsrolls over at WUS posted a shot of his collection [thumb below], take a look at the thread here and see why you might just change your mind about the two-tone style.

Actually, I think Omega is one of the few brands that make great two-tone watches. I have 2 myself, a Constellation and a Seamaster chronograph, both two-tone and very wearable.
However, most of the time, like yourself, I prefer steel.

I agree, RJ, Omega makes some nice TT’s. I’ve not seen the SS/RG AT on any of the forums so it must not be all that popular.
I just wish Omega would produce the quartz mid-size AT TT I had in an automatic.

I`m a big 2-tone fan.I collect Omegas (17 to date) and I have 5 2-tone ones to date. The 2-tone versions are always overpriced compared to steel (there’s very little gold in them!) but they are rarer and more collectible in my view. If I ever learn how to post pictures on the net I`ll put some on. I tried the rose gold/steel Aqua Terra mid-size on in Dubai recently and immediately added it to my ‘must have’ list. I’m looking for a second hand one but they are v. hard to find. I`m also looking for a gold & steel Speedmaster reduced with either a gold or black dial. USA and Germany are good sources of 2-tone Omegas; they sold better in both markets than in the UK (probably down to over-pricing). To prove there is no logic in watch-collecting, my one and only Rolex is a steel Datejust with white gold bezel and Jubilee bracelet, much classier than the ubiquitous 2-tone models much loved by 1980s car dealers!
