Omega Planet Ocean vs Vintage Seamaster 300
Over at the excellent watchuseek they have a new Diver’s forum, excellent idea and also check out the new layout which will be rolled out over the entire site, 10/10 from me.
Anyhow…seems those diver guys need a little guidence on what is the best watch in the world. Jon who mod’s the Omega forum over there has put out a call to action, so guys lets show the new forum those Omega divers!
Here’s my top two.

Post pics of your Omega diver’s in this thread.

I agree! I have the Seamaster 300 and am currently looking at the Planet Ocean. Seeing as my 40 year old Seamaster 300 is still going strong I’m hoping to be around 40 years from now when my Planet Ocean will still be going strong after 40 years’ service.
Unfortunately my Seamaster is not in mint condition having been a working timepiece all its life, but I am thinking of having the bezel replaced after which it will look a lot newer :-)

That photo is fabulous. Wish my Seamaster 300 looked that good. Out of curiosity what size PO is that?

your seamaster 300 looks perfect,
i have one too, but i have a few questions my dad gave it to me years ago,
it s still working great.
the glass is flat, does that mean it s been replaced?
the bezel has two colors red and black and the inner part is broken which means that some of the black color is gone, is there any chance i can find a new one and where
thanks for answering

I’d love to get hold of a seamaster 300 to compliment my collection and was hoping you could let us know what the model number is?
Many thanks

Hey Spencer,
it’s the 45.5mm PO. You can tell from the bezel which has five curbs every five minutes and from the date window which is slightly more inside the dial as compared to the 42mm version.
Greets,
