Omega’s new Planet Ocean Watch, the BLOCKBUSTER, is raising just a little concern with owners and lookers alike. It seems that in a new departure the anti-reflective coating is on the outside and well as the inside of the crystal.

On the face of it this seems like a bad idea, a virtually unscratchable sapphire crystal with a scratchable coating on top! Feedback from the forums seems to be “no big deal” and I would agree. Maybe Omega are looking to launch a range of sunglasses for when all those anti-reflective coatings wear off. :)
