Hi,
I recently purchased a 1948 Museum Collection re-edition with the coaxial movement, but it came from an Omega dealer who didn't have the original box. I have photos and number of the watch in the series and would like to get the original materials that came with this wonderful watch.

You noted somebody above who could help me. I can provide photos and the early number in the series of this watch if that helps, but have contacted Omega directly a number of times, with no response. I am happy to pay to get another box and materials, as I like to keep all the provenance possible on my watches.

Best regards and thanks.

Email: howlin.bob@comcast.net or bob@riosol.us

P.S. I believe the edition was #5 in the series.

That's a stunning watch. I'm jealous! I almost bought the Apollo Mission commemorative watch in a black dial with gold case, but didn't because it was automatic, but rather manual winding. Do you know how much it is worth?

I have 1658/1951, and the watch is stunning in person. The original watch was introduced in 1951.

The Musuem watches are a design over 50 years old, and Omega produces a number related to the year of introduction (for the first seven watches). The most recent, the Marine, was in a much more limited edition of 135 watches (for the depth rating in feet).

While popular, the Musuem watches are pricy and all of the models (except possibly the Marine) are still available new. Most can be found preowned as well.

To JOHN:
John, do you know, where I can buy Cosmcc Moonphase with blue or black dial? Not necessarily circa 1952 (first edition), I'll be happy with Museum one. My email is:
teglet107@yahoo.com
Maybe Alan can help? Any information will be highly appreciated. These watches is my dream for years and years.
THANKS!!!
George.

Hey Scott,

You can contact Alain Monochan at The Omega Museum.

He is a great guy and do all he can to assist you. He helped me with my vintage, and my re-edition. His email is private, so if you email me I will email him and CC you in it.

Regards,

I recently was bequeathed a square face "moonphase" with a cream dial. I was told it is from circa 40's or early 50's. It was completely tuned by an Omega master and he commented that it was in great shape. Does anyone know where I can find out mor information about it? I too have attempted through Omega with no luck.

Thanks!
