I was going through some of my grandfather’s stuff given to me by my grandmother. Amongst them are two watches. One is a Bulova watch which appears to predate it’s systematic dating which began in 1948: The watch works great but the band appears not to be original. The other watch is an Omega. The band is scuffed up and one of the pins pins holding the band to the WATCH is missing. Other than the band the WATCH is in great shape. I am looking to sell these watches, but needing some assistance in dating the Omega and getting a general idea of the value. If anyone can be of assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking about purchasing this watch at auction but have no idea what it is, what it is worth or the year. It is quartz, and appraisal papers state a value of $700.00. I have look at similar watches on line that bring nothing near that amount. I would like to know what I am buying and not overpay.
